Halloween Sewdown 2010

It's no secret. I love Halloween! I love costumes! I guess I never grew out of that dressing-up stage. Despite this love and the fact that I start planning next year's costumes as soon as I take down this year's Halloween decor, I always seem to end up sewing in a mad rush the days just before Halloween. This year is no different and I have a ton of sewing to do. But I've decided to do one thing different this year...ask you to join me in the first annual:

Basically, this is me asking you to join me in sewing or otherwise creating for Halloween throughout this week (October 18th-25th). Just join in for however much time you can spare. I'm shooting for at least an hour a day (with a break on Sunday.) I just got so motivated by Kids' Clothes Week and couldn't wait until next year to do it again.

At the end of the week, I'll post a "linky" list where you can upload some of your favorite Halloween costumes and accessories. Ones you've made this year or years past. I'm not picky. I love costumes. Then, I'll feature a few of my favorites on this blog.

Throughout the week, I'll be posting some of my favorite Halloween costume tutorials from others and hopefully some of my own finished projects. If we're lucky, I'll even post a tutorial or two of my own. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

In the meanwhile, grab a button and some inspiration below:

Copy and paste this code:

I really enjoyed looking at some of your past costumes. What a beautiful family.

I'll be looking forward to what you come up with this time.

Oh I am all in! I just started Creamie's on Friday and I really hope to have it done by Wednesday... maybe Thursday. Of course then I have to make mine. Sigh. I'm sure that one won't be done until I'm in the car on the way to our first costume party!

I think I found your blog from your Toy Story costumes. I love them. I still might make those next year...
